Spring Break DIY: Side table revamp!

I can't begin to explain how excited I am about this DIY side table!

I managed to pick this table up for free while my boyfriend and I were leaving our rental house back in September. The owners had left us some random furniture and mentioned we could keep anything we might need. I snagged the table as fast as I could, knowing it had so much potential. Boy, was I right! Finally, after about 6 months, I found time during my spring break to make it beautiful!

The process was simple and there are so many great sites and blogs that helped me figure out how to give this drabby old side table a facelift for the stars!

I sanded the entire table as much as I could by hand, gave it two nice coats of mahogany stain, sanded the drawers once more before applying the teal paint, gave it the worn and tattered look with some sandpaper to reveal the stain, and then gave it an old vintage look with new knobs!
