Cigar Connoisseur Gifts
With Father's Day right around the corner, I thought why not create something that Dad (or Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Husband, etc.) might like and actually use. We've been accumulating cigar boxes for a few years now, and I hadn't quite figured out what I wanted to do with them, because really, why waste such beautiful pieces?! Finally, one day while my husband was out of town, I ventured into the garage, not knowing how I was exactly going to disassemble the box without destroying it. With just a hammer and a flat head screw driver, I managed to break it apart the way I intended, as well as getting some much needed stress out (you'd be surprised how therapeutic a hammer can be!). After a short trip to Jo Ann Fabrics, a few hours assembling, and a couple moments to marvel over what I just created, I had finished two projects from one box!
Behold, the double cigar box storage/organizer and a beautifully stained picture frame:
After another long weekend without my husband, I decided I wanted to create something beautiful out of these boxes for the ladies as well. I am in love with how this turned out and can't wait to make some more! The cigar boxes make perfect planters for succulents.
