Inviting Wine Bottle Decor

There are so many times that I create something once, show it off for a few months, then toss it in the closet where it dies a slow, unpainful, death. Some items though, are lucky to have a second chance at a beautiful life. That's where these black chalkboard painted wine bottles come into play. I made these as gifts about 7 years ago and saved a couple for myself. Today I found them sitting in the wooden wine rack on our wall with Christmas trees drawn on them. { I may have JUST taken down our indoor Christmas decorations }

I wanted to revamp these wine bottles since they have so much potential to be used throughout the year in various ways. Thus came the simple idea of creating a stencil to decorate them. My handwriting is nothing to write home about, so whipping up some stencils in pretty font makes it look like I know what I'm doing. This was a quick and easy project that can be changed out seasonally.

Here's how easy it was:

1. Create text

2. Cut vinyl

3. Place vinyl on wine bottle

4. Fill in with chalk

5. Remove stencil

Sometimes it's all about that "Ah-HA" moment to turn a simple wine bottle into a year round decoration.

-Cheers!
